So secretly I have always had a love for food and I’ve decided incorporate it into my blog and hope you can enjoy my healthy food with flavor.  I just moved into my new place last week and last night was my first chance to cook in my new kitchen and I must admit it felt amazing!
I have a photo shoot coming up this weekend and the week before the shoot I always work hard at maintaining a healthy diet. I eat fairly healthy most of time, but coming off vacation and moving I felt like I needed to get back on track. This meal was simple and a great way to get your protein and a healthy carb and all you need to do is add a veggie on the side and it’s all you need and enough to make a few meals for the week if your cooking for just yourself.
I cut up some yellow onion, red bell pepper with a little olive oil and rinsed my chicken, patted dry and did a lemon pepper spice with a little sprinkle of garlic powder and just cook this all in one dish and I cooked two cups of brown rice on the side.  I can usually eat about ¼ cup rice with one chicken breast and bell pepper medley mixed together per meal. Remember small portions throughout the day are much better for your body!
This dish gives you so much fuel, fills you up without feeling heavy and it a great meal to incorporate into your diet if your trying to stay slim and toned.  I do many variations on this and it works well and the best part is you feel amazing! Last night I cooked some white corn on the cobb for my side. I add sugar and kosher salt to the boiling water and when you serve it just eat! No need for butter or extra salt. Cut that out and your getting the good stuff without butter! Trust me you don’t need it the sugar will ad the flavor.
Cutting out certain things can really help your diet and keep your body happy. It takes adaption, but overall it’s about how much you care about your body and how good you want to feel each day….stay tuned or follow me as I do it all, train horses, make graphics, act, model and cook! Happy Thursday…
